Online Merch Solutions Analyst

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring an Online Merch Solutions Analyst to drive process improvement and supplier engagement around the rapid assortment expansion of hd.com and the item troubleshooting that follows. The analyst keeps team projects on schedule, works with the Online Merchandising Solutions Manager and leadership to prioritize work, and builds relationships with internal and external partners such as Direct Fulfillment Merchants, HD.com business partners and suppliers. The role is the main point of contact for a smooth supplier experience, managing supplier onboarding, troubleshooting and error resolution, and delivering strong customer service to suppliers and internal partners.

Key responsibilities

• Attend merchant meetings and identify and facilitate OMS requests (10%).
• Own assortment growth projects, status reporting, item troubleshooting and attribute maintenance, acting as subject matter expert for product categories online (40%).
• Measure program effectiveness against metric targets and run enhancements and process improvements based on performance and customer feedback (30%).
• Troubleshoot operational issues such as store SKU alignment and online product availability, and write clear training materials (20%).
• Monitor data transformation and work with technology teams to fix incorrect mappings, business rules and data deviations.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Education: bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Preferred: proven customer service record, vendor/supplier management experience, and 1 year of work experience.
• Travel: typically less than 10% overnight; mostly indoor work, occasional lifting of light items.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Data analysis and strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Preferred: understanding of merchandising assortment and product classifications, and knowledge of Home Depot store product systems.
