Online Accounting Adjunct Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia, through West Georgia Technical College, seeks an online Accounting Adjunct Instructor to deliver theory and practical accounting instruction to post‑secondary students. This part‑time position supports the college’s mission to provide high‑quality technical education across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver course syllabi, lectures, labs, and assessments in accordance with state academic standards.
• Utilize current classroom and online technologies to create an engaging learning environment.
• Evaluate student progress, grade assignments promptly, and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain safety, security, and compliance requirements for all instructional activities.
• Collaborate with faculty to define, measure, and improve student learning outcomes.
• Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to meet email response expectations (24 hours Mon‑Thu, 48 hours Fri‑Sun).
• Compliance with accrediting body credential requirements for the assigned course.
