Oncology Pharmacy Practice Resident (PGY-2) – Full-Time

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Oncology Pharmacy Practice Resident (PGY‑2) for a 12‑month accredited residency. The resident will provide patient‑oriented pharmaceutical care across multiple oncology settings, supporting safe and effective drug therapy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic drug monitoring, pharmacokinetic dosing, and drug regimen review for oncology patients.
• Interpret and process physician orders, ensuring accuracy, safety, and optimal medication use.
• Deliver education and training to pharmacy staff, physicians, ancillary personnel, patients, and caregivers.
• Assist in developing and monitoring clinical pathways, protocols, and cost‑effective medication use mechanisms.
• Participate in distributive functions, including holiday and weekend assignments.
• Design and complete a residency project and contribute to educational activities.

Required profile

• Eligible for a PGY‑2 pharmacy residency in oncology.
• Commitment to a 12‑month full‑time program, including holidays and weekends.
• Willingness to work in a multidisciplinary, patient‑focused environment.
