Oncology Advance Practice Clinician (Part-Time)

About the role

Jefferson Health is hiring a part-time Oncology Advance Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for its Center City ambulatory practice. The clinician works as an integral member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing comprehensive care to patients with acute and complex chronic conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complete history and physicals, order and collect diagnostic data, and act as first responder for nursing and house staff during status changes or emergencies
• Assess risks such as medication side effects, immobility, nutrition, fluid and electrolyte balance, and immunocompetence
• Collaborate with the team on diagnoses, manage diagnostic tests, formulate differential diagnoses and prescribe therapeutic interventions
• Develop and modify evidence-based plans of care, document progress, transfers, discharges and clinic notes, and perform advanced procedures within privileges
• Maintain communication with the team, patients and families, and engage in mentoring, research, grand rounds and continuing education

Required profile

• Master's degree
• National Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• BLS certification
