On-Site Remote Patient Attendant (Full Time)

About the role

The On‑Site Remote Patient Attendant provides continuous visual observation and surveillance of high‑risk patients in the UHealth Tower. Working from a dedicated monitoring station, you will ensure patient safety by promptly responding to risk behaviors and emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clear view of all assigned patients and monitor multiple patients simultaneously.
• Use a digital 2‑way audio device to verbally redirect patients from risky behaviors or imminent danger.
• Notify the nursing team via communication devices when immediate assistance is required.
• Operate visualization and electronic systems in accordance with department standards.
• Document observations at established intervals and participate in hand‑offs for each shift.
• Identify equipment variances, report safety issues, and assist in removing hazards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant license or comparable certification (e.g., Medical Assistant, EMT, Associate Degree in a medical field).
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in patient monitoring or a related healthcare setting.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Commitment to university core values and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
