Office Technician (10.5‑month contract)

About the role

The Office Technician provides essential administrative support to Washington Elementary School District 6Acacia, handling student registration, attendance, withdrawals, and data entry. Working under general direction, the incumbent ensures accurate record‑keeping and effective communication with parents, staff, and district stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and maintain student information in the Schools Administrative Student Information (SASI) system, including enrollment, health, emergency contacts, and special education data.
• Manage student registration processes: verify documentation, assign schedules, bus information, and create cumulative student records.
• Process student withdrawals, generate transcripts, and coordinate record transfers to new schools.
• Monitor daily attendance, issue tardy notices, and generate attendance reports.
• Produce various reports such as daily absences, special education census, and quarterly attendance summaries.
• Respond to inquiries from parents, staff, and district personnel regarding school procedures and records.
• Operate the school’s phone master system, including outdial messaging and call routing.
• Provide basic first‑aid, administer daily medications, and handle substitute services.
