Office Nurse RN OBGYN Clinic

About the role

The Office Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect nursing care in an OBGYN clinic, ensuring quality patient care in line with provider orders and clinic policies. The role is fully onsite, focusing on phone triage, electronic communication, and in‑person patient visits.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct phone triage and respond to MyChart messages in the EMR system.
• Develop and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Contact patients with lab, X‑ray, and imaging results and document all communications.
• Promote accident prevention and report safety hazards.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with emergency services as directed.
• Assess patients reporting decreased fetal movements and relay findings to providers.
• Provide patient education appropriate to each situation.
• Perform phone and in‑person intake visits, including new OB and pre‑op appointments.
• Administer occasional injections to teen and adult patients.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• At least one year of experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
• At least one year of RN experience, including women’s health and phone triage.
• Current Oregon State Registered Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Professional image, excellent customer service, and ability to type 40 WPM.
• Adherence to attendance and punctuality policies.
