Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Acute (PRN)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to work in the Inpatient Acute Neurological Institute. This position provides flexible, as‑needed coverage to support patients in regaining independence and functional abilities during their hospital stay.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, or psychosocial deficits affecting independent living skills.
• Assess patients' ability to safely perform daily activities and design individualized plans of care, including treatment type and frequency.
• Implement treatment plans using appropriate modalities, document subjective and objective findings, and monitor progress.
• Modify the plan of care as needed, seek consultation, and educate patients and families about deficits and adaptive equipment.
• Assist with patient discharge planning and coordinate with therapy assistants and technicians according to licensing regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and graduation from an Occupational Therapy program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Current Ohio licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Preferred: clinical experience and prior acute care experience.
