Occupational Medicine Physician (MD/DO)

About the role

This full‑time Occupational Medicine position offers Monday‑through‑Friday hours (8 AM‑5 PM or 9 AM‑6 PM) and focuses on the care of low to mid‑level injuries, routine physicals, DOT examinations, and follow‑up visits. The physician will manage roughly 30 established patients daily, including reviewing stress tests and providing pre‑operative clearances.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct examinations, physicals, and DOT exams for employees.
• Assess and treat low to mid‑level injuries; refer serious lacerations to emergency services.
• Review stress test results and pre‑operative clearances.
• Document patient histories, outcomes, and treatment plans in EMR software.
• Provide telemedicine consultations and participate in weekend on‑call rotations with additional compensation for laceration cases.
• Complete a 4‑6 week training program on occupational medicine protocols.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree, licensed to practice medicine.
• DOT certification or ability to obtain certification within one month of hire.
• Preferred experience in occupational medicine or urgent care.
• Ability to efficiently manage a high patient volume while maintaining accurate documentation.
