Nursing Manager – Hybrid Role

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Neurological Surgery seeks a full‑time, hybrid Nursing Manager to lead its office‑based nursing team. This role oversees patient care coordination, staff development, and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee patient flow and manage day‑to‑day operations of the clinical area.
• Develop, update, and enforce nursing policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Recruit, orient, train, and coach nursing and auxiliary staff.
• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Manage phone‑based patient triage, documentation, and coordination of care using Epic and the NICE system.
• Ensure compliance with state nursing regulations, university policies, and continuing‑education requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing management experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system.
• Experience using the NICE computer‑based phone system.
