Nursing Informatics Specialist

About the role

The Nursing Informatics Specialist will develop and implement automated technology solutions that improve patient care and clinical outcomes. Working on a hybrid schedule, the role collaborates with nursing, IT, ancillary, and operational teams to support agile technology implementations across the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus and other locations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test, educate, implement, and optimize automated technology solutions.
• Analyze current workflows and system integrations to create future‑state improvements.
• Provide clinical system education, just‑in‑time support, and training to caregivers.
• Facilitate stakeholder decision‑making, project communication, and metric monitoring.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and outcomes while supporting innovation and collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure.
• Three years of clinical nursing experience, preferably recent inpatient bedside experience.
• In‑depth knowledge of clinical nursing theory and practice.

Required skills

• Epic certification (or recertification within 90 days of hire).
• Experience with EPIC Build and EPIC CLINDOC.
