Nursing Associate Dean, Academic Affairs

About the role

Covista is hiring a Nursing Associate Dean, Academic Affairs for the San Antonio campus of Chamberlain University, the largest nursing school in the country. The role drives day-to-day academic operations, supports faculty excellence and ensures strong student outcomes, working in partnership with the Dean to advance the BSN program. It is a campus-based, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Execute academic strategy with the Dean, support curriculum changes and lead program expansion
• Recruit, select, onboard and retain faculty; supervise assigned faculty and manage their schedules, workload and performance
• Ensure curriculum delivery meets standards and accreditation requirements, using student data to improve teaching, labs, simulations and workshops
• Support clinical placements and remove barriers to student success
• Manage faculty and scheduling, coordinate with other Associate Deans and campus leadership, and help plan budgets
• Act as liaison to boards, communities and internal stakeholders, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards

Required profile

• Master's degree in Nursing (required); doctoral degree preferred
• 2+ years in nursing education at the bachelor's level or higher
• 2+ years in simulation and/or clinical experience development
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• 2+ years in acute patient care (preferred)
• Unencumbered professional nursing license (required)

What we offer

• Expected salary range of $90,000 to $100,000, adjusted for experience, location and other factors
