Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care

About the role

Optum is hiring a Nurse Practitioner for its Optum Care Delivery team in Redlands, California. The role is outpatient primary care, focused on patient care rather than volume, with a schedule of Monday to Friday and an average of 17 patients per day.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary care including office consults, annual visits, follow-up appointments and in-office procedures
• Work in a team-based model with physicians and advanced practice clinicians supported by a medical assistant who rooms patients, takes vitals, handles prescription refills and manages follow-ups
• Use DAX AI Scribe for documentation

Required profile

• Board certified NP/PA, or ability to obtain certification before starting
• Unrestricted California medical license, or ability to obtain it before starting
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Current California DEA certificate, or ability to obtain it before starting
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills and time management

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)

What we offer

• Compensation generally ranging from $125,000 to $175,000, including base pay and bonus, which may grow with productivity and performance
