Nurse Anesthetist II

About the role

The Nurse Anesthetist II provides comprehensive anesthesia care for patients across LA Health Services facilities. This role involves pre‑anesthetic assessment, intra‑operative management, and post‑operative monitoring to ensure safe and balanced anesthesia.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain and document detailed health histories and conduct physical screening assessments.
• Order, evaluate, and interpret pertinent diagnostic studies.
• Prepare, select, and administer pre‑anesthetic medications and obtain informed consent.
• Set up, operate, and monitor anesthesia equipment, drugs, fluids, and blood products.
• Perform airway management, including fiberoptic intubation and other advanced techniques.
• Conduct safety checks and maintain accurate anesthesia records throughout procedures.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current license and eligibility to practice in California.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the physiological basis for anesthesia administration.
• Experience in peri‑operative settings and ability to evaluate patients pre‑operatively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
