Nurse Aide Instructor (10‑month contract)

About the role

Join the State of Georgia as a Nurse Aide Instructor for a 10‑month term, delivering classroom instruction and supporting the development of future nursing professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans for credited technical/occupational courses.
• Evaluate student progress against curriculum objectives.
• Manage classroom supplies, equipment, and budget requests.
• Maintain program certification and accreditation documentation.
• Ensure safety and security in training areas.
• Collaborate with students, staff, and educators on instructional matters.
• Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current Georgia Practical Nursing License.
• Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science or Associate degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Experience in long‑term care services relevant to teaching duties.
• Post‑secondary teaching experience.
• Active participation in professional nursing organizations.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard Learning Management System.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Computer literacy and ability to use job‑related software.
