NPI Engineer – New Product Introduction

About the role

Polaris Inc. is seeking an NPI Engineer to lead the introduction of new gauges, displays and electronic assemblies into production. The role serves as the primary liaison for cross‑functional launch activities, ensuring products reach the market on time, within budget and to the required safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end execution of new product introduction programs from feasibility through production launch.
• Coordinate engineering, operations, quality and sourcing teams to maintain alignment and drive execution.
• Develop and manage project timelines, milestones and deliverables for each launch.
• Track program budgets and support business‑case development for new opportunities.
• Assess manufacturing feasibility and readiness, leading design and validation reviews including PFMEA development.
• Conduct pre‑production builds to validate product and process readiness.
• Own change‑management processes for new and existing products.
• Compile and manage customer and stakeholder requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Lead structured problem‑solving and root‑cause investigations for product and process issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in new product introduction, manufacturing engineering or a similar role.
• Proven experience leading cross‑functional projects and managing product‑launch timelines.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, validation and phase‑gate launch methodologies.
