North America Sales & Business Development Manager

About the role

Anaergia is seeking a North America Sales & Business Development Manager to lead the capital‑sale pipeline for municipal wastewater technology solutions. The role focuses on identifying, qualifying, and converting high‑value opportunities into signed contracts, then handing them off to the execution team.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new municipal wastewater system leads and manage relationships with owners, consultants, and strategic partners.
• Lead the third‑party municipal representative network, providing training, adding new reps, and motivating performance.
• Collaborate with consultants to influence specification of Anaergia technology in anaerobic digestion projects.
• Engage directly with wastewater treatment plant leadership to advance sales opportunities.
• Coordinate technical, regulatory, and contractual development with back‑office support.
• Refresh marketing efforts, expand existing markets, and devise new market penetration strategies.
• Navigate municipal approval processes, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and support customer retention.

Required profile

• Proven experience in selling complex technology solutions to municipal clients.
• Strong network within the North American municipal wastewater sector.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and guide projects from lead to contract.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
