Non-Credit Instructor – Small Business Development Center

About the role

The Small Business Development Center is seeking a Non‑Credit Instructor to deliver confidential one‑to‑one business advising and group training for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs. You will design, facilitate, and assess workshops, seminars and webinars on a range of small‑business topics.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver non‑credit workshops, seminars and webinars covering business planning, finance, marketing and access to capital.
• Provide confidential one‑to‑one advising on business strategy, financials, marketing and capital acquisition.
• Conduct client intake, needs assessments, follow‑ups and maintain accurate documentation in SBA/NJSBDC systems.
• Design training materials aligned with diverse entrepreneur competencies.
• Utilize technology tools for instruction, reporting and virtual delivery.
• Participate in outreach events and represent the SBDC professionally.
• Meet established performance and reporting targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field (master’s preferred).
• Minimum three years of relevant professional experience, preferably advising or training small businesses.
• Strong knowledge of business planning, finance, marketing, HR, operations or technology.
