Night Shift Machine Operator (10pm‑6am)

About the role

Graham Packaging is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join its West Chicago facility on the night shift (10 pm – 6 am). You will operate plastic blow‑molding equipment to produce high‑quality containers while supporting a safe and efficient production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a group of plastic blow‑molding machines and associated in‑line equipment.
• Perform mold, insert, and color changes as required.
• Monitor resin (HDPE/PET), dryer, material handling, and color systems to maintain proper processing conditions.
• Conduct on‑time quality checks against established standards.
• Assist with basic processing of injection and blow‑molding machines to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and support mechanical repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and complete required documentation promptly.
• Support other operators or utility positions during slow periods.

Required profile

• Commitment to follow all safety, health, quality, GMP, and company policies.
• Ability to work the overnight shift consistently.
• Willingness to participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
