New Grad RN Resident – Transplant Specialty Care

About the role

The New Grad RN Resident will join Cleveland Clinic’s G101 Transplant Specialty Care Unit, a 34‑bed unit focused on kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestine transplants. Residents work in a supportive, team‑oriented environment with daily huddles and a rotating day/night schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in a residency core curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care under the guidance of an experienced coach.
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity, patient preference, and resource availability.
• Identify and act on data indicating patient risk to prevent adverse outcomes.
• Seek supervision or assistance when tasks cannot be performed safely and independently.
• Document all care activities accurately in patients’ medical records.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• New graduate RN or less than one year of RN experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
