New Grad RN Resident – General Internal Medicine

About the role

The New Grad RN Resident will join the G80 General Internal Medicine‑Vascular Surgery Unit on Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus, providing comprehensive care to adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions during night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist fellow caregivers in delivering patient care from admission to discharge.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach and prioritize patient needs.
• Respond to clinical data indicating patient risk and take corrective action.
• Seek supervision when needed and document all care in the medical record.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute inpatient RN experience.

Required skills

• RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
