New Grad RN Resident – Gastroenterology/Hepatology

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a new graduate Registered Nurse to join the G100 Gastroenterology and Hepatology unit. This night‑shift residency provides hands‑on experience with complex GI, liver and multi‑organ failure patients while supporting professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on the G100 unit, adhering to a maximum 6‑patient-to‑staff ratio.
• Participate in the one‑year accredited Nurse Residency program, including core curriculum, simulation labs and online modules.
• Respond to rapid response events, perform bedside ultrasound, and collaborate with providers on liver cases.
• Document patient care accurately in medical records and follow standard precautions.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing with current RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute inpatient RN experience (or RN transitioning to acute care).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current state RN licensure.
• Ultrasound experience (gained on the unit).
