Neuro PCU RN - 36-Hour Contract

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Neuro PCU contract position in Daytona Beach, Florida. The schedule is 36 hours per week, day shifts, with flexible contract assignments and the option to convert to permanent staff. The advertised pay is $73 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, analyze assessment data and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care
• Implement interventions safely and document actions taken
• Collect and document patient health data systematically and timely
• Collaborate on patient admission, discharge and transfer, and take part in peer review
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and educate patients and families
• Follow hospital policy, regulatory standards and infection control guidelines, including PPE and hand hygiene
• Act as a patient advocate and ensure safe handoff communication

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's preferred
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking and writing)
• BLS/CPR certification (required); TNCC certification preferred
• Additional licensure or certification may apply depending on unit or state

Required skills

• High-level abstract reasoning to assess patients and revise plans of care
• Basic computer skills, navigating Microsoft Windows programs
