Networking Instructor

About the role

We are seeking a Networking Instructor to join Southern Crescent Technical College in Griffin, Georgia. The successful candidate will deliver Cisco‑based networking courses, guide students through hands‑on labs, and support their progression toward industry certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update course outlines, objectives, and instructional materials for networking programs.
• Deliver lectures, labs, and workshops covering network installation, configuration, and administration using Cisco products.
• Assess student performance, provide feedback, and maintain records of progress.
• Manage classroom supplies, equipment, and budget requests.
• Ensure safety and security standards in training environments.
• Participate in recruitment, retention, and job placement activities.
• Attend professional development events, workshops, and conferences.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a computer‑related field from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of recent in‑field networking or computer‑instruction experience.
• Cisco Networking Academy CCNA‑approved instructor status (or working toward approval).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Cisco networking technologies and CCNA certification.
• CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications (preferred).
• PC installation and maintenance.
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
