Network Automation Product Manager

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking a Network Automation Product Manager to lead the strategy, design and delivery of secure automation solutions across its enterprise network. This senior position blends deep technical knowledge with product leadership to drive automation that is resilient, auditable and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product roadmap for secure network automation, translating operational challenges into measurable initiatives.
• Partner with network engineering, security and compliance teams to design automation workflows that meet governance and audit standards.
• Oversee development of network-as-code, intent-based networking and policy-driven automation platforms.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and risk stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical design and compliance expectations.
• Promote safe experimentation by enabling sandbox testing before production rollout.

Required profile

• 6–9 years (senior) or 10+ years (advanced) of product management experience in network or IT automation.
• Proven track record of delivering secure, compliance-driven automation solutions at scale.
• Strong ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, security and risk teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
