Network Administrator

About the role

Stimulus Technologies is looking for a hands‑on Network Administrator to operate, maintain, and expand its ISP network across Nevada and a multi‑state service area. The role blends office work, remote network management, field visits and occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network availability, capacity, latency, packet loss and overall performance.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, wireless equipment, access platforms and transport systems.
• Implement network designs and technical standards defined by the Network Infrastructure Architect.
• Diagnose and resolve network outages, providing Tier II/III escalation support.
• Document root causes of outages and recurring performance issues.
• Support deployment and activation of new fiber, fixed‑wireless, transport and customer‑access infrastructure.
• Assist field technicians with troubleshooting, equipment replacement, turn‑up and testing.
• Maintain network diagrams, equipment records, IP‑address assignments, configurations, circuits and site documentation.
• Perform capacity reviews and recommend upgrades.
• Participate in change‑management, maintenance windows, security procedures and on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of professional networking experience.
• Experience supporting an ISP, telecom carrier, wireless ISP, data centre or similarly complex production network.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically under high‑pressure, customer‑impacting incidents.

Required skills

• TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, switching, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VPNs, network security.
• Advanced routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches, wireless equipment and network‑management platforms.
