Natural Resources Project Manager

About the role

SWCA Environmental Consultants seeks a highly experienced Natural Resources Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary environmental projects from planning through construction. This full‑time remote position supports clients across energy, infrastructure, and land‑development sectors, ensuring regulatory compliance and high‑quality deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Manage small to medium‑sized projects, controlling budgets, schedules, safety, and quality standards.
• Lead biological field assessments, wetland delineations, and preparation of permit applications for federal, state, and local agencies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams delivering natural resources, cultural resources, and permitting services.
• Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, addressing compliance issues proactively.
• Oversee QA/QC of field data and technical reports, ensuring scientific integrity.
• Support business development by cultivating client relationships and contributing to proposals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in natural resources management, including wetland and biological surveys.
• Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with agencies, clients, and field crews.
