National Leaves Clinical Specialist - Northeast

About the role

Stryker is hiring a National Leaves Clinical Specialist (NLCS) for the Northeast region. The NLCS works directly with a JR/MPS team to support robotic and manual joint replacement procedures, using RepSuite for scan and schedule management of employee leave of absence across multiple territories. The role reports to the Senior Manager, LEAP and works alongside the local Mako Manager, JR Sales Manager and GM. Field assignments last from two weeks to three months or more, with 90% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of Mako robotic systems and of manual joint replacement instrumentation and implants.
• Act as a clinical resource for healthcare professionals, delivering a comprehensive customer experience during deployment and ensuring teams are proficient in MAKO technology.
• Serve as a point of contact for clinical inquiries, troubleshooting and technical support.
• Build relationships with healthcare providers, hospital staff and internal team members, and act as their advocate within Stryker.
• Ensure clinical practices comply with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards, and help maintain product integrity and safety.
• Train and support the local JR team when not deployed.

Required profile

• 4-year degree or equivalent; minimum 3 years of relevant work experience (4+ years preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience with MAKO robotic applications and manual joint replacement instruments and implants.
• Strong knowledge of orthopedic surgery and robotic-assisted surgical technology.
• Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills, and the ability to train others.
• Able to handle routine travel on short notice for months at a time.

Required skills

• MAKO certification required.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

Pay range: $83,400 - $133,100 USD annually. Candidates must be able to work from the 48 contiguous United States due to travel requirements.
