About the role
Johnsburg Central School is looking for a certified Music Teacher to provide instruction for Pre‑K through 12th‑grade students. The role focuses on developing a vibrant choral program, delivering general music lessons, and supporting community musical events.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate music instruction for Pre‑K–12 students.
- Lead and manage choral rehearsals, ensembles and the Pop Singers group.
- Coordinate school concerts, special music events and community performances.
- Supervise students in various school‑related settings.
Required profile
- Valid New York State certification in Music Education.
- Experience directing middle‑ and/or high‑school choir (preferred).
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
