Mud Rotary & Auger Driller

About the role

ConeTec is seeking a Mud Rotary & Auger Driller to operate drilling equipment on geotechnical projects across various field sites. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining drilling rigs while supporting engineers and technicians in data collection.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate mud rotary drilling and auger equipment, sampling systems, and geophysical instruments according to company procedures.
• Assist engineers and technicians with field sampling and in‑situ testing.
• Mobilize and demobilize equipment in remote or hard‑to‑access locations.
• Perform routine maintenance on drilling rigs and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Report safety incidents, near‑misses, and equipment issues promptly.
• Communicate field observations and equipment needs to the supervisor or project manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record; commercial licence is a plus.
• Experience or training in geotechnical fieldwork, drilling, sampling, or heavy‑equipment operation.
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel for extended periods.

• Operation of mud rotary drilling rigs.
