MRI Technologist – Weekend Shift (Neuro Expansion)

About the role

Join the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute and work in a brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art facility dedicated to complex neurological care. This position is a weekend (Saturday‑Sunday) night shift providing MRI services across the Main Campus and the new Neurological Institute.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire and review patient questionnaires, charts and requisitions to determine MRI contraindications.
• Perform MRI procedures according to protocol and conduct daily quality assurance.
• Educate patients about MRI equipment, procedures and ensure their comfort and safety.
• Report equipment malfunctions, monitor for potential dysfunctions and coordinate service calls.
• Maintain high equipment uptime for patient accessibility.
• Instruct and mentor new hires and radiology students.
• Attend in‑service programs and professional affiliation sessions.
• Obtain MRI certification (R.T.(MR)(ARRT)) within one year if not already credentialed.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent ARRT pathway.
• Hold a current credential such as ARMRIT, ARRT in Radiography/Sonography/Radiation Therapy/Nuclear Medicine, or CNMT.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes.
• Preferred: at least one year experience as a general radiologic technologist or in other imaging modalities.

Required skills

• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) operation.
• Daily MRI equipment quality assurance (QA).
• Equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Patient education on MRI procedures and safety.
• Certification in MRI (R.T.(MR)(ARRT)).
