MRI Technologist, StaffFlex Contract (PRN)

About the role

AdventHealth Imaging in Orlando is hiring an MRI technologist on a 13-week StaffFlex contract with open availability. The position is PRN, day-shift and weekend, and pays $62.79 per hour. The technologist performs CT and MRI imaging procedures and assists radiologists in special procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform CT and MRI imaging procedures and assist radiologists in special procedures such as biopsies
• Maintain examination records, obtain and document patient clinical history, and position patients and equipment for accurate images
• Administer contrast material, monitor patient condition and ensure patient safety and privacy
• Perform basic patient care within the scope of practice and participate in standby call, available within 30 minutes of notification
• Perform equipment quality control and calibrations, coordinate equipment service and preventative maintenance
• Train new employees, assess technologist competence and help with routine department clerical needs

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved A.R.R.T. program with current A.R.R.T. registration and a state radiography license
• 2+ years of CT/MRI experience
• Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (RT(MR)) or ARMRT certification, and Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
• Ability to use a computer system for data entry and retrieval, and basic clerical and record-keeping skills
