MRI Technician (StaffFlex Contract)

About the role

AdventHealth Imaging in Orlando, Florida is hiring an MRI technician on a StaffFlex contract for 13 weeks, with open availability. The position is full-time and day shift, and the advertised rate is $62.79 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Perform CT and MRI imaging procedures and assist radiologists in special procedures such as biopsies.
• Maintain examination records, obtain and document patient clinical history, and position patients and equipment to produce accurate images.
• Administer contrast material, monitor patient condition and ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Perform basic patient care within the scope of practice and participate in standby call, available within 30 minutes of notification.
• Perform equipment quality control and calibrations, coordinate equipment service and preventative maintenance, train new employees and help with routine clerical needs.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved A.R.R.T. program with current A.R.R.T. registration and a state radiography license.
• Current Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (RT(MR)) or ARMRIT certification.
• 2+ years of CT/MRI experience.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
• Additional licensure or certification may apply depending on the unit or state.

Required skills

• Patient care and communication skills with patients across all age groups.
• Ability to use a computer system for data entry and retrieval.
• Basic clerical skills, record keeping, documentation and image transfer to disk or film.
