MRI Technologist Level II – Floater

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Radiology seeks an MRI Technologist Level II to serve as a floater across multiple modalities. This position involves performing complex MRI procedures, supervising daily operations, and supporting research and education initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage scheduling and patient flow for inter‑departmental MRI procedures.
• Perform diagnostic MRI studies under radiologist supervision and ensure high‑quality images.
• Supervise day‑to‑day operations in the absence of the Chief Technologist or Radiology Manager.
• Assist in training new physicians and staff, and provide in‑service classes.
• Collaborate with radiologists and PhDs to develop new imaging protocols and research studies.
• Monitor charging of procedures, demonstrate ultrasound equipment for site visits, and ensure accurate order verification.
• Verify patient identity, obtain consents, and position patients safely for scans.

Required profile

• Independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• Ability to integrate diagnostic results, patient history, and medical records to adapt examinations.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to MRI safety and quality standards.
• Experience supervising staff and leading routine team activities.
