MRI Technologist

About the role

Vail Health Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to deliver high‑quality imaging and compassionate patient care in the beautiful Vail Valley. You will perform MRI and X‑ray examinations, ensure accurate documentation, and support a smooth workflow across the imaging department.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all MRI and radiographic exams in accordance with Vail Health protocols.
• Review images for quality and accuracy and submit them promptly to radiologists.
• Verify patient identification, documentation, and exam orders for consistency.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, providers, and care teams.
• Maintain departmental standards for confidentiality, safety, infection control, radiation protection, and quality assurance.
• Utilize Vail Health’s HIS and PACS systems for accurate patient documentation.
• Keep exam rooms clean, orderly, and stocked; monitor supplies and notify staff as needed.
• Serve as a role model of Just Culture principles and adhere to HIPAA compliance.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of MRI technologist experience preferred.
• ARRT registry in radiography required.
• Previous healthcare experience required.
• ARRT RT(R)(MR) certification.
• BLS certification.
• Completion of all educational and clinical requirements for ARRT eligibility.
