Motorsport Customer Application Engineer

About the role

Bosch Motorsport is seeking a Customer Application Engineer to act as the primary technical liaison for racing teams and customers in North America. You will support the development, integration, validation, and optimisation of high‑performance electronic systems used in motorsport applications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site application engineering support for engine controllers, vehicle control units, displays, power distribution units and telemetry modules at customer facilities and race tracks.
• Gather and document technical requirements, assist in project schedule creation and coordinate track‑side activities with internal development teams.
• Serve as the technical point of contact on‑track, diagnose system‑level issues and coordinate approved parameter changes.
• Develop and document control strategies for internal‑combustion and hybrid powertrains, including energy recovery and torque coordination algorithms.
• Design and validate vehicle electrical and communication network topologies (analog, digital, CAN, Ethernet) to meet defined specifications.
• Travel domestically and internationally 50–80 days per year to support customers.

Required profile

• Engineering background with experience in automotive or motorsport electronics.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced environments and travel extensively.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
