Morning Show Producer

About the role

iHeartMedia Markets is hiring an experienced Morning Show Broadcast Producer in Bridgeville, PA, to help plan and produce the audio and video of several live and pre-recorded radio shows covering news, music, talk, sports, traffic and features. The position is full-time and regular.

Key responsibilities

• Generate original ideas, encourage ideation from others and carry out thorough research
• Research information, gather materials and help contact and schedule guests
• Give direction to presenters, content providers, assistants and other crew members
• Manage budgets and ensure efficient use of resources
• Obtain permissions or licenses for on-location recording, broadcasting, music, sound effects and audio archive material
• Monitor listener emails and inquiries about the shows
• Collaborate with presenters and performers to run quality assurance against production standards
• Use soundboards and editing/production software, and schedule and monitor the radio stream during live recordings
• Help with time-keeping, saving recordings, archiving files and post-production editing
• Produce audio and video clips and post them on social media

Required profile

• Knowledge of the radio market, station and program styles, and audience demographics
• Experience using recording equipment and operating a radio studio
• Ability to build rapport, pitch ideas to senior colleagues and work under pressure
• Planning, prioritizing, multitasking and meeting tight deadlines
• Full knowledge of radio production laws, rules and regulations, including when clearances and licenses are needed
