About the role
Applied Materials seeks a senior Module Process Engineer to lead dielectric deposition (CVD/ALD) initiatives for semiconductor customers. You will work on complex equipment and process challenges, driving continuous improvement and delivering measurable value to customers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions with customers to define and implement Continuous Improvement Projects.
- Capture learnings to maximize service opportunities and improve customer KPIs.
- Increase Customer Service Agreement value through defect reduction, variability reduction, cost‑of‑ownership improvement, and process optimization.
- Identify and drive opportunities for CSA renewal, upsell, and penetration.
- Demonstrate and lead adoption of new service technologies through demos, on‑site evaluations, and joint development programs.
- Resolve complex equipment and process issues using advanced analytics and systematic troubleshooting.
- Generate technical reports and present findings, including analysis of BOM, equipment constants, sensor data, and on‑wafer results.
- Serve as technical authority in dielectric deposition, guiding integration, yield, and manufacturability.
- Mentor junior MPEs, providing technical direction and knowledge transfer.
Required profile
- BS in Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry (or equivalent).
- 7+ years experience in dielectric deposition process engineering.
- Strong background in Wafer Fab and semiconductor equipment.
- Proven ability to communicate complex ideas and influence senior stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically.
