Moderate-Severe Special Education Teacher (2025-2026)

About the role

The school seeks a dedicated special education teacher to deliver individualized and group instruction to students with moderate to severe needs in a separate classroom. The role includes designing curriculum, writing IEPs, and supporting student growth academically and personally.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver instruction and manage a classroom of students with moderate‑severe disabilities.
• Design individualized curriculum, write education plans, and collect/evaluate data.
• Implement behavior support plans and serve as IEP team chair for a small caseload.
• Coordinate related services and train paraprofessionals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in special education and a valid teaching license.
• Knowledge of federal and state special education laws.
• Experience with ABA and working with children with autism or developmental delays.
• Commitment to diversity, anti‑racist practices, and collaborative work with families and staff.

Required skills

• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
