Mobility Technician – Night Shift (Full Time)

About the role

The Mobility Tech position supports patient mobility during night hours (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) at Ochsner Health in Lafayette, Louisiana. You will work closely with nursing, therapy, and physicians to assist patients with mobility tasks, exercises, and functional activities as directed by clinical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, lifts, and bed positioning according to the Progressive Mobility Protocol (PMP).
• Gather and document patient information in EPIC before treatment sessions.
• Inspect, maintain, clean, and store mobility equipment and ensure proper supply procurement.
• Collaborate with the interprofessional team to monitor patient response and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year preferred patient care or nursing assistant experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work night shifts and perform heavy physical tasks safely.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Computer and web‑application proficiency.
