Mobile Software Engineer

About the role

Viant’s TVision team is building the next generation of TV and video audience measurement using computer vision, audio recognition and network analysis. As a Mobile Software Engineer you will create the iOS and Android applications that power the in‑home measurement panel, enabling continuous, privacy‑conscious data collection and a seamless experience for panelists.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android that support TVision’s audience measurement panel.
• Partner with data‑science and measurement teams to implement always‑on, high‑fidelity activity tracking.
• Collaborate with device and panel operations teams to monitor device health and manage panelist workflows.
• Design intuitive, accessible user interfaces that improve panelist engagement and retention.
• Integrate mobile apps with backend services and APIs for data collection and system orchestration.
• Ensure application reliability through testing, code reviews and proactive monitoring.
• Uphold strict data‑privacy, security and consent standards in all user interactions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve app performance and stability.

Required profile

• 2+ years of mobile application development experience (iOS and/or Android).
• Strong understanding of cross‑platform mobile architectures and development best practices.
• Experience working with backend APIs and data systems (Python experience a plus).
• Familiarity with front‑end web technologies such as HTML and JavaScript.
• Experience with user‑experience design, usability testing or accessibility best practices.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization and privacy controls for user data.
