Mobile Market Food Truck Operations Navigator

About the role

The YMCA of Greater Boston seeks a Mobile Market Food Truck Operations Navigator to support the new Mobile Market, delivering daily food choices to Boston communities. Reporting to the Director of Nutrition Education, Partnerships & Warehouse Operations, you will assist the Food Truck Manager and SNAP‑Ed team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Mobile Market Food Truck Manager in daily operations, including loading, set‑up, and breakdown following the SWAP method.
• Assist participants in understanding the SWAP method at market sites.
• Track inventory and “sales” of items and help manage site flow and safety.
• Support SNAP‑Ed dietitians with nutrition lessons and cooking demonstrations.

Required profile

• Ability to work with diverse populations across ethnic, socioeconomic, and generational backgrounds.
• Experience identifying, developing, and monitoring community partnerships.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 15 lb, and meet vision requirements.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Experience using online reporting systems for data entry.
• Serve Safe, CPR, and First Aid certifications (required upon or after hire).
