About the role

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking enthusiastic middle school teachers to provide in‑home tutoring for grades 6‑8 in the Raleigh area. You will deliver personalized academic support aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.

Key responsibilities

Develop customized learning plans that emphasize understanding over memorization.
Provide remedial and enrichment instruction to meet each student’s needs.
Collaborate with parents to communicate progress, challenges, and successes.

Required profile

Current, valid North Carolina Professional Educator’s License or a qualified teacher candidate.
Passion for student success and a commitment to high‑quality instruction.
Residency in or near North Raleigh, Wake Forest, Cary, Apex, Brier Creek, or Leesville.

Required skills

Knowledge of Orton Gillingham instructional approach.
