Mid-Level Product Engineer – Full-Stack AI Recruiting

About the role

This is a full‑stack Product Engineer role at a small, fast‑moving AI‑powered recruiting platform in the HR‑tech space. You will work directly alongside founders, product, and design to build and ship user‑facing features end‑to‑end. The role carries real ownership and directly impacts the core product during an exciting early‑stage growth phase.

Key responsibilities

• Own features from requirements scoping through to production deployment.
• Design APIs and data models, and implement both frontend and backend code.
• Ship user‑facing experiences that balance usability and performance, iterating based on feedback and metrics.
• Integrate LLM and AI capabilities into product flows to make intelligent features reliable for end users.
• Design and implement scalable backend services, data schemas, and operational tooling including CI/CD, monitoring, and testing.
• Collaborate with founders, product, and design to prioritize work and define success metrics.
• Participate in architecture and roadmap discussions, making pragmatic trade‑offs suited to early‑stage growth.

Required profile

• 2 to 8 years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping user‑facing products.
• Strong full‑stack skills: TypeScript and React/Next.js on the frontend, plus backend experience in Python or Node.js.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Production‑grade experience integrating LLMs or AI services into applications (engineering focus, not research).
• Clear product sense and the ability to translate user problems into measurable solutions.
• Comfort operating in small teams with limited process, high ambiguity, and a broad scope across frontend, backend, and DevOps.
• Experience with multi‑tenant or enterprise‑ready systems, API design, real‑time or high‑throughput applications is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development workflows and experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, fintech, or legal is a plus.

What we offer

• Salary range $150,000 – $300,000 USD annually.
