Mid-Level Prescriber – Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

About the role

New Season Treatment Centers seeks a mid‑level prescriber to join its outpatient clinics that treat Opioid Use Disorder. The role supports the Medical Director by conducting patient evaluations, managing medication orders, and coordinating care with nursing staff, counselors, and program leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations on admission, annual, and readmission visits.
• Issue and adjust medication orders, including buprenorphine, in compliance with state regulations.
• Provide emergency management support and refer patients to primary care for non‑addiction medical issues.
• Label medication bottles when a pharmacist is unavailable.
• Assist in training nursing staff and ensure accurate medication dosage changes.
• Document clinical findings, sign required forms, and generate reports as requested.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and maintain accurate patient records.

Required profile

• Current, active state license as a Nurse Practitioner (or PA‑C) in the clinic’s state.
• Active DEA registration allowing Schedule II‑V prescribing and a DEA license for buprenorphine.
• Medicaid and Medicare credentials.
• Psychiatric certification (for FL positions).
• Minimum two years experience in substance‑abuse treatment.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Suite.
