Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity Architect Manager

About the role

Protiviti is hiring a Technology Consulting Manager for its Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity (SCI) team in Houston (also listed as Dallas). As a manager you partner with clients to solve complex business problems, build lasting client relationships and act as an ambassador for Protiviti in the market. You also mentor, train and coach consultants and senior consultants on project work plans.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with clients on the strategy, planning, design, migration and implementation of Microsoft security solutions such as M365 Security & Compliance, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Agent 365.
• Mentor, train and coach consultants and senior consultants, and help them complete project work plans.
• Build a network in the business community and support the preparation of client proposals and strategies to win new business.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. MIS, Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical degree).
• 5+ years of experience in professional services or industry.
• Experience architecting and implementing Microsoft Purview (IP, DLP, DLM, eDiscovery) across SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Exchange, and delivering business solutions on Microsoft 365.
• Experience with global and large M365 tenants; GCC and GCCH knowledge is desired but not required.
• Leadership and direct supervisory experience, including performance appraisals, mentoring, coaching and cross-team coordination.
• Ability to communicate technical challenges to client personnel, including executives, and to build professional networks.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in the Microsoft 365 Security suite from a design, implementation and administration standpoint.
• Working knowledge of Entra, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Azure and Microsoft Graph.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
• Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, SC-900, CISSP or similar.

• Salary range of $125,000-$200,000, with a 12% bonus target (total cash range $140,000-$224,000).
