Microsoft Platforms Engineer

About the role

The position supports a Blanket Purchase Agreement delivering Enterprise Knowledge Management services to a U.S. Combatant Command at MacDill Air Force Base. The engineer will configure, deploy, and sustain SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Power Platform environments across classified and unclassified networks.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain SharePoint (on‑premises and Online), M365 services, and Power Platform solutions following governance, security, and DevSecOps standards.
• Apply taxonomy, metadata, naming conventions, version control, and content‑lifecycle rules to meet KM and records‑management requirements.
• Implement enterprise search, indexing, role‑based access controls, and zero‑trust principles.
• Build low‑code solutions using reusable components on Power Apps and Power Automate, and extend them for component commands and TSOCs.
• Perform day‑to‑day administration, health monitoring, permissions oversight, and user account management.
• Troubleshoot system issues, workflow failures, and performance anomalies, escalating as needed.
• Execute scheduled patches, updates, and upgrades in coordination with senior engineers.
• Produce runbooks, configuration guides, integration diagrams, and user documentation.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four years of experience administering Microsoft collaboration platforms, including SharePoint and M365.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II baseline certification (or ability to obtain before privileged access).
