Merchandiser / Cashier

About the role

O'Reilly Auto Parts is hiring a merchandiser and cashier for its store in Boiling Springs, SC. The role covers stocking the front floor, assisting customers, handling cash transactions and acting as a deterrent against shoplifting. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Merchandiser: greet customers on the sales floor, help them find products or direct them to a parts specialist, check in, price and put up stock, keep the front floor full, clean and well displayed, make display and price changes according to planograms and company guidelines, manage sale signs and flyers, remove sale material when sales end, and assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts and overstock returns.
• Work with the manager on the store To Do List and weekly team tasks, act as the main shoplifting deterrent on the front floor, and assist with O'Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
• Cashier: check out customers quickly and friendly, handle returns, and finish tickets, take money, checks and credit cards when the express lane is not used and the counter is busy.
• Clock in and out according to company policy.

Required profile

• Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences, good interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Desired: previous cashier and/or stocking experience, ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle, fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
