Merchandise Associate - George M. Steinbrenner Field

About the role

Legends Global, which combines venue development, event booking, revenue strategy and hospitality services, is hiring a Merchandise Sales Associate for its George M. Steinbrenner Field location in Tampa, Florida. The associate creates a memorable game-day experience for fans through excellent customer service, attractive merchandise displays and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Create a positive, fun environment for the team and the fan base
• Clean, restock and complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor
• Present merchandise and upsell with add-on items, describing features, benefits and uses
• Stay up to date on in-store promotions, sales and events at GMS Field
• Maintain inventory, merchandise placement and accurate counts, and keep the warehouse and work area clean
• Read and follow printed instructions, and help the Gift Shop set-up team with merchandising, inventory control and shop cleaning

Required profile

• At least 18 years old
• High school graduate, GED or equivalent; accuracy in open and close procedures
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Willing to work extended hours on event days, weekends and overtime
• Honesty, integrity, openness to constructive feedback and strong customer service and selling skills
