Membership Sales Advisor - Upper East Side

About the role

Equinox is hiring a Membership Sales Advisor for its Upper East Side club in New York. As a brand ambassador, you encourage people's potential, act as an expert on the club's amenities, features and programs, and build lasting relationships with prospective and current members so they get the best possible experience. You report to a General Manager and work alongside a Regional Sales Manager and your sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Sell club memberships and ancillary business packages
• Prospect new business and clients
• Host events and workshops for in-club lead generation
• Achieve or exceed individual sales, renewal and ancillary service goals
• Plan each month strategically, using outreach, in-club lead generation and member referrals secured through events
• Build rapport and lasting relationships with prospective and current members to grow a referral base and retain members
• Participate in and demonstrate knowledge of all the club's services, programs and products

Required profile

• Previous sales experience preferred
• Entrepreneurial spirit and confidence to perform on an incentive-based salary
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Enthusiastic, energetic, personable and friendly disposition
• Personal passion for health and fitness
• Ability to work in a team
• Strong time management skills
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, and the last 4 days of each month
• Legal right to work in the United States

What we offer

• Pay of $17 per hour, with variable bonus and commission plans that can bring total compensation of $80,000-$100,000 for reaching sales targets
